The center uses a set of systematic assessment tools designed by American psychologist Dr. David Olson to enable prospective couples to sort out their needs and accept each other’s differences, and establish a more mature relationship in marriage. In the past 25 years, more than 1.5 million couples have used PREPARE/ENRICH tools (in Hong Kong over the past five years, more than 2,000 have been tested), and have received help, including: Expectations (satisfaction/cohabitation issues), personality issues, communication issues, conflict management, financial management, leisure activities, sexual expectations (or satisfaction), parent-child relationship, relationship between relatives and friends, family roles, and religious beliefs.

Through the provision of counseling services, the counsellors of the center and the client jointly evaluate the problems encountered in the client’s life and develop effective methods to deal with the problems, thereby enhancing the individual’s ability to adjust emotions and foster a healthy life. Marriage counseling services are designed to assist couples in marital difficulties, turning conflicts into communion, and moving towards a healthy and satisfying intimate relationship.
